Join the FarOut Wilderness Team for a leisurely guided trip into the beautiful Carmanah Walbran Provincial Park.

Day 1:

Meet your guide in Victoria and depart at 08:30.

On the way you will have the opportunity to stop in Sooke for a coffee and a sweet treat, or if an early morning ice cream takes your fancy. Once fuelled by sugar and caffeine we shall visit the Sooke Potholes.

We then follow the scenic Highway 14 as it winds along the coast.

Tonight we will overnight along the Highway 14 at one of the campgrounds – either China Beach, French Beach or Jordan River. Location varies depending on availability.

Settle in to camp and enjoy a leisurely stroll down the beach while taking in the delightful aromas of your freshly prepared meal being cooked by your guide.

Day 2:

For those early morning risers we offer coffee on the beach whilst watching the sunrise.

An early start after breakfast as we hit the road and leave the Tarmac good bye. Make sure to stock up on a good breakfast as today is a busy day.

Avatar Grove – A short stop to wander through this gorgeous protected forest area along with coffee, tea and a snack.

Big Lonely Doug – As we drive we will keep an eye out for Big Lonely Doug – A large Sitka Spruce left standing in a clearing.

Lunch with a view – On the way we will enjoy our lunch at one of the numerous view points.

A short Hike – arriving shortly after lunch, we will embark on a hike down into the valley and visit the Coastal Giant, Stolhmans grove and the 3 sisters (Although part of one of the sisters came down in the winter)

After a busy day, relax in camp as your guide prepares a hearty meal to replenish those energy levels.

Day 3:

Pack down camp and hit the road again heading back – we will visit the other side of Carmanah today.

A beautiful short walk through the other side of this protected area.

Port Renfrew – After a busy couple of days, we can all enjoy a pub lunch in Port Renfrew. I strongly recommend a pint of the Renfrew Red Ale as well.

After lunch its time to hit the road and head back to Victoria.
