Collect your Overland Vehicle Rental and have the amazing briefing from our knowledgable adventure consultants that will make sure you know all the key bits of info on the vehicle in order to fully enjoy your weekend.
Head out of Victoria to Duncan and grab a late lunch at the Alderlea Farm Cafe before heading to your campground for the night.
You have the choice of campground – we recommend either Chemainus River or Cowichan River, but if you have your own preference we can alter the route to suit.
Relax around the campfire and get an early night and ready for some biking tomorrow.
After and early breakfast, pack up camp and hit the trails around Mt Tzouhalem. This is fairly fixed bag of manageable blue trails and more challenging black runs.
After a few hours of biking, jump back in your ride to head north towards Nanaimo, stop off at the Crow and Gate Pub as you enter Nanaimo for a hearty pub lunch.
After lunch you can hit the trails around Nanaimo. There are a number of spots to choose from so you have plenty of choice to keep you busy this afternoon and tomorrow.
Mt Benson – Majority black runs and access trails.
Westwood ridge and lake – Mainly blue runs.
Abyss Ridge/Spruston/Pipeline trails – A large selection of mainly blue runs.
Blackjack ridge/Doumont trails – A large selection for all abilities, a few greens, lots of blue runs and black runs and one or two double black trails thrown in,
Relax at camp with a nice cold beer from your car fridge.
Get a good breakfast and choose from the above options to plan a good day of biking.
Plan to separate the day with either a picnic lunch or a run into Nanaimo for some quality food.
Pack down camp and take the scenic route back to Victoria.
Stop off at Chemainus along the way to take in the 37+ Murals painted around the town.
Hand your Overland Vehicle Rental back to FarOut Wilderness and leave with some great stories and sore thighs.
